After four weeks of diving into God's character and promises, this final day is about carrying these truths forward. Moses, who lived 120 years, prays for wisdom to number our days — not a morbid obsession with death, but recognition that our time is limited and precious. Isaiah contrasts the temporary nature of everything we see with the eternal nature of God's Word: empires rise and fall, trends change daily, but God's truth remains constant. Paul gives the ultimate perspective shift: our current troubles, no matter how overwhelming, are light and momentary compared to the eternal glory waiting for us. You've spent 30 days discovering that God is faithful, loving, present, and good. Now spend the rest of your life living in the light of those truths. Scripture Readings

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 90:12

The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.

Isaiah 40:8

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Second Corinthians 4:17-18

Reflection

Today is Day 30 of our journey together, and it's fitting that we end with perspective—the ability to see our lives from God's viewpoint rather than just our own limited vision. After four weeks of diving into God's character and promises, this final day is about carrying these truths forward into the rest of your life.

Moses, who lived 120 years, prays for wisdom to number our days. This isn't morbid obsession with death; it's recognition that our time here is limited and precious. When we truly understand that our days are numbered, we stop wasting them on things that don't matter and start investing them in things that do.

Isaiah contrasts the temporary nature of everything we can see with the eternal nature of God's Word. Empires rise and fall, celebrities come and go, trends change daily—but God's truth remains constant. What He says about love, forgiveness, purpose, and eternity will be just as true a thousand years from now as it is today.

Paul gives us the ultimate perspective shift: our current troubles, no matter how overwhelming they feel, are light and momentary compared to the eternal glory waiting for us. This doesn't minimize our pain, but it puts it in context. The difficulties you're facing today are real, but they're not the end of the story.

As you close this devotional and continue your journey with God, remember that every day is an opportunity to live with eternal perspective. The conversations you have, the choices you make, the love you show—all of it matters not just for today, but for eternity.

You've spent 30 days discovering that God is faithful, loving, present, and good. Now spend the rest of your life living in the light of those truths.
